What They Left Us
A fiscally sponsored impact, education, and community engagement program of Fetch Media Matters
Support What They Left US
What They Left Us is a film about the time in your life when you parent your parents - about grief, guilt, and the complicated love that binds and breaks families.
It's about the lives we put on hold. The patterns we inherit. The comfort we find in unexpected places, including the animals who sit beside us through the hardest parts.
Told with honesty, humor, and heart - it's about growing up, just a few decades too late.
This sponsored program supports charitable and educational work connected to the film's themes, including public awareness, creative development, community engagement, screenings, conversations, outreach, and related impact programming.

Why This Story, Why Now
Grief can be isolating. Caregiving can be overwhelming.
Millions of adult children are navigating it right now - parenting their parents, holding down jobs, raising kids, grieving in slow motion. Most of them are doing it alone.
This program creates space for the conversations that don't happen at the dinner table. About loss. About family. About the role animals can play in helping us feel held when nothing else does.
